Time Management

Duration: half day

Objective

To help executives manage the high workloads and reactivity that is a standard part of life in all successful media companies. This short module will provide them with techniques that will enable them to set their own goals and work effectively toward them while contributing fully as a colleague and team member.

Content

The programme runs over half a day and covers the following areas:

• Identifying hidden demands on your time
• Goal setting and prioritisation
• Diary and workload planning
• Techniques for increasing personal motivation and productivity
• Working with others in an open plan environment
• Tips on personal organisation

All techniques have a proven track record within media companies and aim to provide delegates with efficiency gains equating to at least one extra hour of productive time per day.

Target

The course is aimed at executives at all levels who have responsibility for planning and managing their own workload to offer an excellent service to colleagues and clients.
Foundation level course, typically for media people with 1-3 years experience, although more experienced executives could also find this beneficial. 

Format

This is an intensive morning workshop (09.30 – 13.00) held at a central London location.

Facilitator

The programme is run by Peter Hobbs of Vondel Professional Development, a consultancy with an established track record of project and time management coaching and training. Peter has worked with a variety of media owners (online, print and broadcast) and agencies and has a good understanding of the unique demands of the industry.
