Objective
To help media agency and media sales people create and present
solution-based presentations to their clients which generate positive
action.
Benefits
• Learn how to create presentations that achieve key objectives
and how to deliver them in a way that is involving and motivating to the
recipients
• Receive constructive feedback on your content and delivery throughout the two days
• Both media owner and agency people will gain valuable insights
into how the other half works. The media owners will get a better
understanding of the needs of their agency contacts, while agencies can
learn from some of the sales skills employed by the media
• Confidence in presenting will be enhanced and you’ll become more assertive and incisive communicators
Content
The course is split into two modules, day one concentrating on
presentation creation and content, day two focusing on presenting ideas
fluently, naturally and getting agreement to our solutions:
• Creating solution-based presentations
- Brainstorming the importance of creating solutions-based presentations
- Understanding and matching the needs and expectations of our clients within a presentation
- Presenting information as a benefit
- Presentation structure
- The use & abuse of various presentation media and the role of leave-behind documents
Case studies and examples will be used throughout the day to
illustrate/prove our strategies and each delegate will write and give
two short presentations.
• Presenting Ideas and Getting Agreement to Solutions
- Brainstorming the do’s and don’ts of great presentation technique - best use of room, body,
eyes & voice
- Starting off so as to gain attention and finishing to activate those essential action points
- Involving our audience and reading & responding to body language
- Summary of action points and next steps that each delegate needs to take to capitalise on
their development
Each delegate will work on two presentations during the day, the
first being an ambitious new business pitch and the second a slimmed
down, interactive version of the same pitch.
Course notes will be circulated a few days after the course and will
be the unique product of the work, discussions and brainstorms
conducted over the two days. Consequently, learning will be easily
translated back into the work environment.
Target
The course is aimed at all media people who are required to
present ideas and solutions e.g. campaign strategies, sales proposals.
Foundation level course, typically for media people with 1-3 years
experience, although more experienced executives could also find this
beneficial and the course will be tailored to reflect the level of
experience of the delegates.
Format
This is a two-day non-residential course, held at a convenient
central London location. Lunch is provided on both days. Delegates
should find the course to be completely relevant to their career
development as well as being practical and fun.
Facilitator
The course is run by Michael Horner who has worked in
media for over 20 years, both within agencies and media owners. During
that time he has held numerous high profile roles in the industry, Sales
