Objective

To give Managers confidence in their role to help their team become more successful.
This course provides a foundation of insights into popular management theories and best practice to help new managers underpin their experience so far. It aims to provide a forum to discuss current issues and practice techniques to help manage and develop others.

Throughout the course real examples and case studies are used. Delegates are encouraged to bring any people management issues they’ve faced or are currently trying to resolve to the course. The limited number of delegates ensures each participant receives individual attention.

Target

This course helps both new inexperienced managers and also those who have been running teams without formal training. The content and training objectives are tailored accordingly.
Intermediate level course, typically for media people with 3-5 years experience, although more experienced managers could also find this beneficial. 

Format

This is a two day intensive course held at a convenient central London location. It is non-residential and lunches and light refreshments are provided.

Facilitator

The course is run by Helen Tiffany F.C.I.P.D. who specialises in management training in areas such as motivation, influencing skills and leadership. Helen started her career within publishing, working with a variety of media owners, initially in advertising sales and then in HR where she became Head of Training and Development at Haymarket Magazines. She now runs her own organisational development consultancy, Bec Development. Helen’s experience of having worked within advertising ensures empathy with the delegates. Her emphasis is on learning that can be used on the job immediately, with results to match.
